Gameplaywright at GenCon

04.08.10 | by Jeff Tidball | Comment?

Online event registration for GenCon goes live this coming Sunday, April 11. When you’re drawing up your GenCon schedule, we hope you’ll make room for one or both of our Gameplaywright events this year.

Hamlet’s Hit Points is a seminar where Robin Laws will present his new approach for breaking down stories with an eye toward improving your tabletop roleplaying experience. Robin’s book of the same name, which presents the system and provides analysis of Hamlet, Dr. No, and Casablanca, will also release at GenCon. You may have caught some of Robin’s LiveJournal posts on the subject. If you found them intriguing, come learn more—live—from Robin himself. GenCon Friday (8/6) from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Things You Think About Games is a thinking gamer’s roundtable discussion of your—and our—cunning, brilliant, and mad assertions about the nature of games. You’ve read our book; come meet Will and me in person to tell us why we’re crazy, what we left out, or which bits of our brilliance you especially enjoyed. GenCon Saturday (8/7) from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

We hope you see you there!
