I can’t vouch for all of these, as I’ve read fewer than half of them, but it seems like a fine slew: that gamer-blog bastion, Gnome Stew, has gathered thirty great GM-oriented blog posts and articles from its archives — including a few from game-writer and Gameplaywright-commenter John Arcadian — all in one place. Bookmark it. You’ll need some time to get through them all, I think. Better, maybe, to keep them handy for the next time you’re considering your current campaign and want to be inspired, clarified, or encouraged. Take a look, and see what gets you thinking: Gnome Stew’s Top 30 Game Mastering Articles
Thanks, Will! 🙂
You’d be amazed how long it took us to pick those 30 articles. We had a system, went through a couple of rounds using the system, and generally put a lot more thought into than I think is apparent from the page itself.
And naturally, as soon as we were done we all went out and wrote something else we wished was included. 😉
PS: We agreed that we’re not a bastion, but instead an anarcho-syndicalist commune.
Thanks for the shout out Will! The 30 game mastering articles are definitely a show case of some of our best work. While I’m biased, because I write for the site, I’d have to say we have an awesome collection of authors from diverse backgrounds in the gaming industry. I’m always as excited to see what the other gnomes are posting on any given day as I am to see that you or Jeff have a new article up here!
