Freelance journalist Quinns, a.k.a. Quintin Smith, writes about video games. He’s also traveled the world. How he manages to do both is somewhat unclear to me, as I just heard of Quinns this morning, but this recent post of his, “Traveling and Lies in 16-bit,” is too good not to share with you. In it, he exposes 21 common lies about travel and adventure, as perpetrated by various RPGs. Though Quinns was thinking of video-game RPGs, a lot of these lies are put forth by RPGs across various media.
