Although Gameplaywright’s short-form descriptor is “story + games,” one of my personal goals for Gameplaywright (and Gameplaywright Press) is for it to inspire creators of games and stories, and not simply to be about those topics.
A large part of what’s hard about being creative is simply getting to work. One of my favorite books, The War of Art, is more or less about that.
This week, I encourage you to get to work. Will wrote a while ago at The Gist about Matt Jones’s visual exhortation to “Get Excited and Make Things.”
Get excited and make things. Awesome. That’s what I’m going to do this week, and that’s what I hope you’ll do this week, too.
